Cleared a tree line, pulled an old farm shed apart, or finally tackled the rubbish that has banked up behind the machinery yard? That is the kind of job bin hire in Yuroke usually answers, and Binswest has been running skips out to Melbourne’s northern farming country since 2010. Yuroke is genuinely rural: paddocks, working farms and large lots, quieter and more agricultural than most of what sits around it. On a block that size the load comes off heavy and all at once, but the same open ground means the bin can sit well inside your own gate, so where it goes is rarely the headache. The size is the part worth getting right, and that is where a quick call earns its keep.
For a free quote, phone Binswest on 0427 166 444, Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm and Saturday 7am to 1pm. Tell us the job and roughly what is coming out, and a same-day drop is often on the cards if you ring before 9am.
What a Farm or Paddock Clear-Out Actually Fills
The thing that catches people out here is not access, it is volume. A season of green waste, a fallen tree, or a shed packed to the rafters fills more bin than a suburban driveway job ever does, and guessing low means paying for a second one. Talk the load through before you book and the first bin is usually the only bin:
- A 2m3 mini suits a single fenced area cleared by hand, or one small outbuilding tidied out.
- A 3m3 Marrel takes a contained garden strip or a ute-load or two of farm odds and ends.
- A 4m3 Marrel with the wheelbarrow door handles a heavier mixed load, including weight-limited soil, brick or broken concrete off the block.
- A 6m3 walk-in covers a real fence-line run of branches, old posts and wire, or a serious garden overhaul.
- An 8m3 walk-in swallows a whole-property clean-out, a farm-shed strip, or a year of banked-up tree and green waste in one go.
When the job is a full shed demolition, a multi-structure clear or a big rubble run, a 10m3 or larger hooklift body is the answer, priced on quote against the real load rather than a set figure. Give us the block and a rough idea of what is coming out, and we will land you on the right size the first time.
About Binswest
Binswest is a family-run business, started in 2010 by Mark and based at our own Government-Approved Waste Transfer Station in Sunshine North. More than 6,000 jobs on, the crew runs across 15-plus council areas of Melbourne’s west, north, inner suburbs and CBD, from the built-up streets to the rural farming edge that Yuroke sits on. What matters most on a property job is where the load goes after pickup. Every bin comes back to the Sunshine North yard and is sorted by hand, and in 2024 that work recovered 41% of material to recycling and another 35% to repurposing, leaving 24% for landfill. The clean timber, scrap metal, fencing wire and soil that a rural block throws off are exactly the streams that recovery rate is built on, so a Yuroke farm load tends to sort well.
What Bin Hire in Yuroke Costs, Size by Size
Out this way most operators keep the figure behind a quote form. We put ours in plain numbers, because when a farm clear-out can run large, knowing the price before you commit matters more than a sales line:
-
from $250
-
from $350
-
from $450
-
from $550
-
from $650
-
priced on quote
Those are starting prices for general waste in our standard Hume delivery zone. Heavy material like soil, brick and concrete is weight-limited and sits on a separate rate, so the price we confirm on the phone is set against what you are actually clearing. The bigger paddock and demolition loads ride on the 10m3-and-up hooklift bodies, quoted to the job because weight and mix vary so much from one property to the next. There is no teaser figure and no fee hiding in the fine print. The number we quote is the number on the invoice, behind our best-price guarantee.
Booking a Skip Out to Yuroke, and How Soon It Lands
Yuroke sits well past the inner suburbs, out on the northern rural fringe of where we run, so the honest thing to say is that it is a longer leg of our daily Hume route from Sunshine North. It is a scheduled stop, though, not a special trip, and there is no surcharge added for the distance. Ring before 9am and the standard sizes go out on the same day’s run where there is room, which is exactly why an early call helps on a longer leg like this. Book later and the bin lands the next day. The usual rhythm is a Monday delivery and a Thursday pickup, six days a week, with the hire window running three to seven days and extensions if a staged clean-out needs longer. One thing to plan for on the big jobs: the 10m3-and-up hooklift bodies that suit a demolition or a large paddock run are slotted around the truck rotation, so they want about a day’s notice rather than a same-day call.

Why a Hume Permit Almost Never Comes Into It Out Here
For nearly every job in Yuroke, the answer to the permit question is no. A Hume City Council placement permit only applies when a bin has to stand on a public road, a nature strip or a footpath. On a farm or a large rural block there is always room on your own ground, a driveway, a yard or a hardstand beside the shed, for the skip to sit, and a bin on private property needs no permit at all. Put it inside your own gate and the question never arises.
The one exception is a skip placed out on a public rural road or verge, which is uncommon here but does need a Hume permit. If that is your situation, give us the address when you call and we will flag it, then confirm the council’s current placement-permit fee at booking rather than quote a rate that may have shifted. Either way, you will know which case your block falls into before you commit to anything.
What Goes In the Bin on a Working Block, and What Can’t
The quickest way a skip picks up a surcharge is a load that does not match its waste type, so it is worth a moment before you start filling.
Fine in a general waste bin: household rubbish, furniture, garden and green waste, fencing timber, cardboard, plastic and soft fittings. That covers the bulk of a rural clear.
Goes in a heavy-waste bin, told to us at booking: soil, brick, concrete, rubble and tiles, all weight-limited, so they need the right bin rather than the general one.
Never in any bin, by regulation: asbestos, flammable liquids, wet paint, gas bottles, tyres and batteries. Older farm sheds and outbuildings out here often carry asbestos sheeting in the roof or walls, and that has to go to a licensed asbestos removalist, never in a skip from us or anyone else. Old fuel drums, oil containers and pesticide tins off a working property do not belong in a bin either, even when they look empty. Our operations meet OH&S load-safety standards, so a skip cannot be filled past its fill line.
The full list, and how mixed loads are split, sits on our guide to what is allowed in our skip bins. If you are not sure how a shed strip or a fence-line haul should be divided, just ask when you book.
Got a Tree Job, a Farm-Shed Clear or a Rural Reno?
Most Yuroke bookings come down to one of three jobs, and naming yours on the first call is what gets the size and the quote right. A tree job, a fallen line of timber or a fence-line run, is bulky but light, so a 6m3 or 8m3 walk-in fills on volume long before weight is ever the limit, and one general-waste bin usually takes the lot. A farm-shed or stable strip-out comes off the opposite way, dense and mixed with timber, sheet metal and brick together, where weight decides the bin and any asbestos in the structure stops the job until a removalist has been in. A farmhouse renovation sits in between, a 4m3 or 6m3 for a single-room refit and more for a whole-house job. Tell us which one you are facing, and roughly how much, and we will size it against the real load instead of a guess.
Hume Farming Neighbours We Run To from Yuroke
The same crew, the same pricing and the same recovery sorting apply right across the rural and estate suburbs on this end of our northern Hume run. If your job sits nearby rather than in Yuroke itself, these pages carry their own local detail:

Bin Hire in Yuroke: Your Questions Answered
Most rural clear-outs land on an 8m3 walk-in for a whole-property job or a year of banked-up green waste, or a 6m3 for a heavy fence-line and garden run. A bigger or multi-shed clear goes to a 10m3-and-up hooklift body, priced on quote against the load.
Yes. Cut branches, stripped vegetation, fencing timber and general green waste all go in a single general-waste bin, which suits most paddock and boundary jobs. If the load is mostly soil or brick it becomes weight-limited and wants a heavy-waste bin instead, so flag the mix when you book.
Yuroke is a longer leg of our daily Hume run, but a scheduled one, with no out-of-zone fee. Order before 9am and the standard sizes go out the same day where the run allows. Later orders book for the next day, and the bigger hooklift bodies want about a day’s notice.
No. A bin on your own driveway, yard or hardstand is on private property, so no permit applies, and that covers nearly every job around Yuroke. A Hume placement permit only comes in if the skip has to sit out on a public rural road or verge, which is rare here.
