What Goes in the Bin, and What Has to Stay Out

A lot of Coolaroo’s housing is pre-1980s, so two materials come up here that have to be handled outside the skip. Asbestos sheeting turns up in old eaves linings, fence sheets and outbuildings of that era, and it is never permitted in any bin from any operator. It needs a licensed asbestos removalist. Lead paint scrapings off pre-1980s painted surfaces cannot go in general waste either. If you are redeveloping an older home, a pre-demolition check is the sensible first move, and we will size the bin for the household and building waste that remains.

Beyond those, the standard prohibited list applies under waste-disposal regulations and load-safety rules: flammable liquids, wet paint, gas bottles, tyres and batteries are not accepted, and a bin must not be loaded above the rim so it can travel safely.
