What You Can and Can’t Put in the Bin

Our skips take general household waste, renovation and construction debris, timber, green waste, soil and most hard rubbish from a clean-out. Mixing general and building waste in one bin is fine for most jobs.

Some materials are prohibited by regulation and cannot go in any skip: asbestos, gas bottles, tyres, batteries, wet paint and flammable liquids. These need specialist disposal, and putting them in a skip risks the whole load. If you have a specific item you are unsure about, ask us when you book and we will tell you how to handle it.
