What You Can and Can’t Put in the Bin

General household, garden, renovation and commercial waste is all fine: timber, furniture, green waste, soil, turf, bricks, concrete, plasterboard and the usual move-and-renovate mix. The load needs to sit level with the rim rather than heaped over it, so the truck can carry it safely. A few things are banned by regulation and cannot go in any skip: asbestos, flammable liquids, wet paint, gas bottles, tyres and batteries.
